ignite: action has an immediate opening for an energetic, motivated and savvy Social Media Content Specialist to provide social media content and planning support for multiple client accounts. Part strategist, part hands-on tactician, part editorial writer, this team-member will have a key role in envisioning, leading and executing brand-driven social media strategies across our roster of purpose-driven clients.
Social Media Content Specialists are strategic thinkers, ideators, and writers. They bring stories to life. Not only do they help guide the strategic direction of a campaign from a content perspective, they’re willing to get their hands dirty and create or coordinate the content themselves.

Additionally, the candidate will:
Create and maintain social media editorial calendars, plan and coordinate content across a client’s social ecosystem, and work closely with our graphic designer to bring content to life
Act as primary editorial writer for social content across clients, modulating voice and tone to meet specific goals
Develop success metrics catered to the specific goals of each client, track progress on these goals, and lead measurement meetings summarizing data insights tied to those outcomes in a straightforward and accessible way
Articulate the value of social media in driving brand awareness and growth for each client, ensuring it is seen as a deliberate and imperative part of a comprehensive marketing strategy
Take a data-informed approach to optimizing social content across platforms by grounding success measurement in quantitative as well as qualitative results, while also staying informed on innovations and changes from both social platforms and enterprise tool providers
Provide on-site social media support as needed for client galas and other tentpole events
Work collaboratively in a team setting
Minimum 3-5 years of social media execution, editorial content writing, integrated marketing, or digital communications experience
Strong understanding of social media tools and platforms; must be proficient in the tactical use of core platforms, most notably Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, and YouTube, and management tools like SproutSocial or HootSuite
Ability to demonstrate cross-platform digital knowledge, including social media, web design, mobile technologies, online and social advertising, etc.
Appreciation for the analytical and quantitative side of social media marketing, including an ability to synthesize quantitative information into tangible insights and communicate them clearly
Can maintain a positive attitude and work effectively in a team environment (remotely and in person) and maintain composure and quality under deadline pressure
Understanding of paid social landscape (copywriting and creative development in support of paid campaign objectives) a significant plus
