A seasoned communications strategist and storyteller, Monika has managed countless projects for government, nonprofit, and corporate clients, including the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, The Coca-Cola Company, the National Institutes of Health and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.
She is a terrific writer, editor and project manager whose skills have been employed to write content, oversee social media, develop graphics and videos, recruit partners and sponsors, produce events, and build relationships with stakeholders. Prior to working with Ignite, Monika was a campaign director on the team that managed the CDC Tips From Former Smokers® campaign.
Monika has a B.A. in journalism from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and an M.A. in American studies from the University of Maryland. A self-declared “news, technology, history, and pop culture junkie,” Monika has an endless curiosity and thrives on continually expanding her repertoire of skills and knowledge. She is often around town taking in a concert, visiting a museum, volunteering for a film festival, or seeking a good meal and conversation.
